Great River Passage Park – Wayfinding & Signage System
Project Overview
The Great River Passage Park wayfinding system is designed to create a seamless navigation experience within the park. This system incorporates natural elements, urban design, and eco-friendly materials to guide visitors through recreational spaces while maintaining a harmonious visual identity.
Concept & Approach
• Inspired by Nature & Urban Elements – The signage design reflects the river, trees, and buildings through structured yet organic diagonal symbols.
• Eco-Friendly Design – The use of sustainable materials, such as walnut-textured elements, enhances the natural aesthetic of the signage system.
• User-Friendly Wayfinding – Clear, intuitive iconography ensures accessibility for all visitors, including pedestrians, cyclists, and individuals with disabilities.
Key Design Elements
• Color Palette:
   • Deep Green (#0a7248) – Represents nature, sustainability, and tranquility.
   • Earthy Brown (#5a4c46) – Reflects wood textures and natural integration.
• Custom Iconography – Minimalist icons for essential services, including rest areas, parking, cycling paths, and accessibility.
• Modular Signage System – Includes entry signs, directional posts, maps, and informational boards with varied dimensions for different locations.
The Great River Passage Park Wayfinding System is designed to promote an engaging, eco-conscious, and user-friendly outdoor experience, reinforcing a strong connection between urban spaces and nature.
