The Prevention of Opioid Overdose – Awareness Campaign
The One Club – Young Competition Entry
Project Overview
This opioid overdose awareness poster campaign was created as part of The One Club - Young Competition to highlight the severity of opioid addiction and its integration into daily life. The campaign uses visual metaphors to deliver a powerful message about substance abuse.
Concept & Approach
• Meals as a Symbol of Routine – The posters contrast everyday food with drug use, illustrating how addiction can become as routine as eating.
• Dark & Stark Visual Contrast – A shift from a warm, nourishing meal to a cold, lifeless plate of drugs emphasizes the consequences of opioid abuse.
• Minimal Text for Maximum Impact – The tagline, "Opioid Overdose – Part of Your Routine Already?", reinforces the campaign’s urgent message.
Key Design Elements
• Realistic & Intuitive Imagery – Everyday table settings transformed into disturbing drug-related visuals.
• Typography & Branding – Clean, bold typeface for high readability and a professional yet alarming tone.
• Strategic Color Palette – Warm yellows (symbolizing life) vs. cold, desaturated tones (representing addiction and loss).
This hard-hitting awareness campaign delivers a visually striking and thought-provoking message, urging the public to recognize the dangers of opioid addiction before it becomes a daily routine.
